ESL FEDERAL CREDIT UNION DOWNTOWN!
ESL Federal Credit Union today announced plans to build a new, six-story corporate headquarters in downtown Rochester. ESL Chief Executive Officer David L. Fiedler revealed a design concept for the building, calling it "a prominent and attractive addition to Rochester's skyline." The new ESL corporate address will be 225 Chestnut Street, currently a City-owned parking lot next to the Washington Square garage and across the street from the Strong-National Museum of Play.

RESTORE N.Y. GRANT TO CITY OF ROCHESTER
Mayor Robert J. Duffy is pleased to announce that the City received two funding awards totaling $6 million from the N.Y. State Empire State Development Corporation (ESDC) through its Restore N.Y. Communities Initiative today. Restore N.Y. provides financial assistance to municipalities for the demolition, rehabilitation or reconstruction of vacant or underutilized residential and commercial properties.

ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL SEASON AT BEACH
Mayor Robert J. Duffy today announced that 2007 attendance at Durand Eastman Beach has exceeded expectations. More than 62,000 residents and visitors enjoyed the amenities at the beach this year, up from the nearly 9,300 who attended last years inaugural season. The beach was open for swimming May 26 - Sept. 9 this year and last years shortened season ran from July 17 - Sept. 4.
